Good health doesn’t end up with one being physically fit. It is also about being emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, and occupational stable. These are the dimensions of wellness, and we need to pursuit balance between them. We can achieve seven dimensions by doing a healthy lifestyle. You should eat vegetables, fruits, and nutritious foods, get regular exercise, drink a lot of water, stop your bad habits, avoid stress, get enough time of sleep, and remain consistent.

Chi, or qi energy (pronounced “chee”), is the life force that flows through all living things. In Chinese, this word translates to “breath,”  “air,” or “energy” (qigongenergyhealing.com) while Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing and movement exercises (Palermo, 2015). Eating junk foods, practicing bad habits, and sleep deprivation is not the only cause of an unhealthy body. A high level of stress can also affect your well-being. People ought to look after their mental and emotional health, as well. One of the most effective exercises to have peace of mind is qigong which is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. If you’re seeking to balance the flow of your chi or energy, this is the best for you. It includes walking while exercising your shoulders, sitting for calmness and concentration, and lying flat your back to relax. Early in the morning is a great time to practice qigong because humans and nature awaken, so you can easily connect them.

Nowadays, we have advanced technology, hence people can work from their homes using computers. When you are working all day, you are more prone to stress and you also forget to do some stretching. This will cause you fatigue and cramps. Qigong is a simple exercise to loosen muscles around your neck to get rid of stiffness and relieve stress. Likewise, it can help in conditioning your body, energy, and mind. The movements in qigong allow your blood and oxygen that enter your body to flow smoothly facilitating the release of tension and friction in the muscles, joints, and connective tissue. With long slow, deep movements and diaphragmatic breaths, it can harmonize the mind and mental focus. Qigong, although quite easy and simple, it can have a strong healing effect to you.

According to a scientific study on the effects of qigong in old practitioners, one session of it increased meridian electrical conductance, reduced anxiety, and improved balance in both the autonomic nervous system and the body overall. In conclusion, these findings provide scientific evidence for the acute physiological and psychological effects of qigong exercise in older practitioners. The research result was that Chinese Bioenergy Qigong may be considered as one of the complementary therapies accompanied by conventional medicine to treat the patients with autonomic dysfunction or anxiety (Lin et al., 2018).
