Our very own BREN Esports took the crown of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M2 World Championship 2021, defeating the Burmese Ghouls on Sunday, 24th of January.

The Philippine team won the title after the 4-3 thrilling game at Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. Burmese Ghouls of Myanmar lost the last two games of the best-of-seven series after KarlTzy showed the way. He had a great opportunity in the do-or-die game 7, getting his hands on his comfort hero Claude (Assasin), scoring 10 kills and 6 assists against just 1 death.

To those who don’t know them, Bren Esports is a premier Philippine-based esports company with teams participating internationally. Established in 2017, by winning multiple Esports titles at different tournaments, Bren Esports slowly gained popularity.

This is the biggest win yet for the team, maybe even overshadowing their triumph last year in The Nationals Season 2. The Filipino team walks away with prize money of USD 140,000 along with its very own skin with the logo of the team on a hero of their choosing.

During the last game, KarlTzy dominated the whole match while leading the charge. Burmese Ghouls attempted to bait Bren, but their plots failed to be implemented. The final battle occurred when the middle turret of the Burmese Ghouls was destroyed, and a team battle arose. As the only one left to defend, Bren took four takedowns with KID, which secured the win for the Filipino team.

“Yung ibig sabihin sa akin ng pagkanalo ng M2 is sobrang laki kasi simula ng pagpasok ko ng pro scene gusto ko na maging pinakagaling sa buong mundo,” KarlTzy said.

Congratulations, BREN Esports – KarlTzy, Pheww, Flaptzy, Ribo, and Lusty! We are so proud of you.
