Samsung Electronics Company already made a glimpse of its Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event when they revealed the first official trailer at the end of July. The short video showed us a glance of the new five devices (Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Live Buds, and Galaxy Watch 3) that they had announced last week.
On the 3rd of August, two days before the new mobile devices launching event, Samsung revealed a second official teaser of Galaxy Unpacked featuring the most popular K-pop boy group Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS. The giant technology company aims to boost its sales for its newest gadgets amid the coronavirus crisis. This teaser also featured the online video game Fortnite streamer Myth and a well-known American singer Khalid. At the end of the video, Samsung CEO Roh Tae-moon asked the fans to stay tuned for Galaxy Unpacked August 2020 live stream. The virtual event was held on August 5, Wednesday, where they officially introduced the new line of Galaxy devices.
BTS has a prominent relationship with Samsung and the two had previously collaborated, launching the BTS edition of Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Buds. Now, the Korean superstars have a team-up again with the Electronics giant as they made a cameo appearance for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Note 20. The prerecorded video posted by Samsung shows the BTS — RM, V, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, Suga, and Jungkook first impression with the bronze foldable smartphone.
The South Korean multinational conglomerate, Samsung Electronics, lost the top position in the global smartphone shipments to China’s Huawei Technologies company. BTS brief cameo and endorsement for their newly released products will influence its global fandom to support Samsung devices.
