YG Entertainment announced the news way back on July 27 that BLACKPINK’s first full-length album will be hitting streaming platforms this October 2 (Friday) at 12 p.m. (PHT/SGT), so mark your calendars. BLACKPINK shared teaser videos for ‘THE ALBUM’, each featuring a member of the group. The four concept videos released were centered around the members – Lisa, Rosé, Jisoo, and Jennie.

‘THE ALBUM’ marks BLACKPINK’s debut Korean-language studio album, following their 2019 EP ‘Kill This Love’ and 2018 Japanese album ‘BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA’. Their forthcoming release is one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year.

A track list for Blackpink’s album hasn’t been announced, but their agency confirmed in May that it will consist of 10 tracks which includes “How You Like That” with worldwide famous popstar Selena Gomez. “As it’s a first studio album that Blackpink has been preparing for a long time, we hope to create more opportunities for the group to greet fans through performances and other content than in any year before through a three-step, multi-phased release,” YG Entertainment said in a statement.
